| Multi-cultural/multi-disciplinary strategist and advisor; understands high-tech business munged with God's Kingdom purposes. S/W architect.
A pretty good technology background in both ancient stuff (Z-80 CP/M, etc), and more recent things. Details? How about HW, FW, SW, LAMP, CSS, web, e107 OSS dev, and a few other acronyms :) Pioneered DB and DTP pub, D/T GIS, D/P, BigPrint, MemTest, ST512, XC, ILS and ODD :).
Perhaps most strange: Pete's privileged to translate all that into something usable for leaders and "common ordinary workers" who need to use high tech without becoming mechanics.
|
| Profile:
| Pete's a former Silicon Valley consultant, and widely known in the mission world as a technology leader. For over two decades, Pete and his teams have been used of the Lord to help the body of Christ learn how to work together better in practical ways. The "10/40 Window" visual message emerged from their work on tools that turn masses of numbers into simple, clear pictures. To enable global interaction, they created "XC.Org," making email practical for Christian groups worldwide. Now Pete and the ICTA team are creating "seamless" spiritual/technical models to nurture trust relationships - transforming communication into true collaboration among God's people. This work serves a number of communities, such as the India Leadership Study and Kingdom-focused technology professionals.
Pete's been joyfully married for over 25 years to Leslie, a naturalist, who coined the "digital nervous system" concept, and is a woman of God with incredible patience and endurance. They have two daughters, Teri and Karin.
